The ‘Jammy Fingers’ Sunday group welcomes all children of primary school age and tries to make the bible accessible to even the very youngest children.
We listen to bible stories, play games, act, draw and create craft all relating to the Bible reading on each Sunday. Jammy Fingers meet during the 10am service every Sunday except the last Sunday of the month when there is a family service instead.
We leave the main congregation after the first hymn and have a short Chapel service together and we sing songs of worship and share prayers. Children can come to Jammy Fingers alone or they can bring Mum, Dad or another carer.
We take great care to look after those who are unaccompanied and we always appreciate the extra help of the adults who do come with their children. We spend part of our time in the Long Room at the back of the Church Hall where we have the opportunity for messy craft and noisy games. We rejoin the congregation in Church in time to receive a blessing at the altar at Communion.
We are a lively community of parents and small children and we would be pleased to welcome new faces. Please come and join us one Sunday.
